Kenny had to read the newspaper to his dad every night. These guys (fathers) were brilliant men but simply had no education. Kenny's dad did not want to be ignorant even if he could not read, so Kenny read that paper to him every day.

It's very special to be living here as the country as we prepare for the Ryder Cup, ... I think the players this week will feel some of that spirit of representing one's country.

I would love to find other pop stars who would be willing to tour with our orchestra. One of the benefits of James Taylor was that he had orchestrations. Many stars do not. My wish list would be exceedingly long, and at the top of it would be Kenny G and Carly Simon. Of course, the cost of some of these artists might be prohibitive.
