Dave's plant is successful and is always seeking ways to improve upon that success. The Canton plant has been called the Nissan revival plant because it achieved the company's aggressive launch schedule and plans.

Our plant's outstanding record for safety and performance is a testament to the dedication of the more than 400 men and women who work at the plant. Our employees are committed to nuclear safety, personnel safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement. The last 10 years of operation have been the best performance years in the plant's history.

This plant makes money. They told us that they were making more tires than they ever did before and productivity's been the highest it's been at that plant for as long as they can remember . . . and today they dumped the bomb on those workers and their families.
