Tate casey

It is a good thing for his community and the fans and his family, but I don't even think he sees it. He has a role in the game Saturday and he's going to come out and worry about one thing playing ball.

Casey was quiet, but he loved to serve and it didn't matter whether it was working in the kitchen, backstage or up front. If something needed to be done, Casey was there to do it.

As far as I was concerned, I saw (having a black roommate) as being something very natural. When Casey came in and I was chosen to be his roommate, that did not raise my eyebrows as maybe some people would think. I had a good feeling being around Casey ... and I trusted any decision coach McGuire made.

Baseball is very big at the present time. This makes me think baseball will live longer than Casey Stengel or anybody else.

The real prize at the Tate is becoming a trustee. It's worth far more money.
