My family has been very supportive. My wife took time off of work to be with me during my surgery and is behind me all the way. As long as I follow my dreams and give 100 percent, she's going to be there.

Every semester my wife and I get together and develop a plan for the semester. We try our best to stick to that plan. If something unexpected comes up, we leave each other notes so we can know what each other is doing.

[For the first few days on campus, the Leaks lived together in Chris' apartment. But after so many years of sharing a bedroom while growing up, that got old pretty quick.] Chris said to me, 'When is C.J. going to get an apartment, Dad?' ... They love each other, but they have to have their space.

If you were gonna pick any guy to be successful that has never thrown a college pass, it would be Brad. He's not an average sophomore.

So far for the calendar year we have issued a total of 1,225 permits for new single family homes. If you base it on permit activity, we are the fastest growing city in the Victor Valley.
