Spreuken over Dood

There's an old saying that the only sure things in life are death and taxes. Well, in its never-ending appetite for more of your hard-earned income, the government has not only embraced that old saying, it's taken it a step further. Under the current tax code, Uncle Sam treats death as another chance to raid your savings, taking money that should go to your family and loved ones.

At this juncture we can only suspect that the cause of his death could be bird flu.

Rather than rotting in a jail, he might consider the ultimate martyrdom to be being put to death by the American infidels.

By the time someone is on death row and gets someone to handle their case, the lawyer is going back to review something that is 8, 9 years old. Memories fade, witnesses are harder to find ... it makes it kind of difficult to make a habeas claim.

It's really shameful to try to exploit the death of a law enforcement officer for political purposes, as is obviously being done here.
