A beginner shouldn't spend a lot of money right away. Go out with a group, pick up ideas, borrow things at first, and check out a lot of gear, and find out over a period of time what you want to take backpacking.

We're not getting any more money from the state this year. This is the second year of the biennium.

It was simply a strategic business decision as to where to invest our money. There was a lengthy evaluation process and we gathered information in order to make a strategic business decision. We put a lot of time and effort to consider bidding on the naming rights, but in the end we decided to bid solely on the pouring rights.

If one compares the amount of money we have spent on the promotion of fruits and vegetable consumption to the amount of money we spent on more general food advertising, it's hardly a surprise we haven't changed the needle on fruit and vegetable consumption,

Why are we here? I think many people assume, wrongly, that a company exists solely to make money. Money is an important part of a company's existence, if the company is any good. But a result is not a cause. We have to go deeper and find the real reason for our being.
