Spreuken over Natuur

Nothing is so powerful as an insight into human nature . . . what compulsions drive a man, what instincts dominate his action . . . if you know these things about a man you can touch him at the core of his being.

The sculptor will chip off all unnecessary material to set free the angel. Nature will chip and pound us remorselessly to bring out our possibilities. She will strip us of wealth, humble our pride, humiliate our ambition, let us down from the ladder of fame, will discipline us in a thousand ways, if she can develop a little character, Everything must give way to that. Wealth is nothing, position is nothing, fame is nothing, manhood is everything.

I am surprised, for a Norwegian it was quite natural to hand over the pole, like we did there. What is surprising is that we have so much positive reaction on the Canadian side.

It's a natural, undisturbed trail, ... People can enjoy the different kinds of trees, plant and animal life, the stream and the bog it runs by.

No one settles in for a long career in TV! It is just the nature of business-no one is indispensable. There is no one who can't be replaced.
