We're all finding that education is key to economic development. That's what we've been saying all along.

Especially in our area, (the issues are) property rights, education and economic growth, particularly through enhancements for small business. Everybody wants to pursue and live the American dream, which is to have something of their own, to own something whether it be a home or other type property, or a business, or something. I want to make sure we continue giving opportunities to small business owners. In addition, people like to know what they have is safeguarded and isn't going to be taken away.

Number one, the best anti-poverty program is a job, ... And second, it is education. We are closing the achievement gap between black, Hispanic and white children.

There is only one thing that can kill the movies, and that is education. . . . Some say, what is the salvation of the movies? I say, run 'em backward. It can't hurt 'em and it's worth a trial.

The academies offer an excellent opportunity for those willing to rise to the challenges and rigors of a military education.
