Spreuken over Succes

Never stop trying for success is attainable.

After long admiring 3M for its unique culture of innovation, decades of success, wealth of technology and outstanding people, I look forward to being part of the team that will make real the tremendous potential of 3M in 2006 and beyond.

The NCAA Championships turned out to be a success for us. It wasn't as well as we were hoping, but we battled from fifth place after the first day to second in the end. Even if we had skied up to our potential, Colorado was unbeatable. The best team won this week. We were the second best and that is where we finished. I am proud of our coaches and athletes and their efforts to make us a national powerhouse in skiing. The future looks good and many of these same skiers will be back next year.

Our success will depend on the ability of this group to come together and play as a unit. We have the talent to stay on top in the conference and certainly return to the NCAA Tournament, but it will take awhile to see how it comes together.

I thought it was a huge success, ... I was very, very pleased with the turnout despite the weather being too hot. Our class as a whole was in awe of the good turnout.
